L'équipe MISTRAL has an extensive experience on powdery mildews of vegetable crops. Technical and scientific expertise of the scientists  reflected to this day by collaborating with a team from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

They support also the improvement of plant resistance to powdery mildew of melon led by the unit Genetic and breeding of fruits and vegetables (GAFL) INRAE Avignon

This fungus is known as the agent of apple powdery mildew. The use of molecular markers made it possible to refine the etiology of this new type of powdery mildew on peach.
