Samuel LE GALL est apprenti ingénieur agronome (ISARA) dans notre équipe SWIFT depuis bientôt trois ans.

Samuel a travaillé sur le fonctionnement biologique et hydrophysique des sols (en particulier la rhizosphère) en contexte de stress hydrique. Fort de ses compétences acquises en écologie microbienne, physicochimie, expérimentation et modélisation, Samuel a été sélectionné par le centre de recherche de Jülich (Allemagne) pour réaliser un doctorat dans le cadre du programme de recherche « CROP » (Estimating the beneficial impact of combining contrasted root phenotypes within a single field).

Samuel développera des expérimentations à différentes échelles et niveaux de complexité (du rhizotron à la parcelle), et réalisera des mesures isotopiques. Samuel débutera sa thèse en septembre 2020 pour une durée de 4 ans.

Samuel LE GALL has been an apprentice agricultural engineer (ISARA) in our SWIFT team for almost three years.

Samuel has worked on the biological and hydrophysical functioning of soils (in particular the rhizosphere) in the context of water stress. Thanks to his acquired skills in microbial ecology, physical-chemistry, experimentation and modelling, Samuel was selected by the Jülich research centre (Germany) to carry out a PhD in the "CROP" research programme (Estimating the beneficial impact of combining contrasted root phenotypes within a single field).

Samuel will develop experiments at different scales and levels of complexity (from rhizotron to field), and will carry out isotopic measurements. Samuel will start his thesis in September 2020 for a period of 4 years.
